Rodrigo Cardoso (b. 1973) is a photographer based in Lisbon, Portugal.

Graduated in photography from Ar.Co art school in 1996. Attended ‘Incursions in Contemporary Photography: Territory, Urban Space and Architecture’ with Sergio Mah at MAAT Museum of Art in 2016, ’Landscape, Photography and Fine Arts’ and ‘Crossroads: a 20th Century History of Art’ with José António Leitão at Atelier de Lisboa in 2017-2020, ‘Project and Photobook’ with Antonio Júlio Duarte and David-Alexandre Guéniot at Atelier de Lisboa in 2017-2019, Artist Residency program with Jem Southam in Serra do Açor in 2019.

Worked as an assistant with Luís de Barros, Jeff Bark, Paula Oudman and Julia Fullerton-Batten,1997-1999. Working as a full-time photographer since 2000 in architecture and interior design for Portuguese studios Anahory e Almeida, Maria da Paz Braga and Arkstudio.

Portraiture and editorial with regular contributions to Monocle magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast, Ronda magazine and AFAR magazine. His work has been featured in Kinfolk magazine, Freunde von Freunden, The Spaces, Above Sea Level magazine, GEO magazine, Open House magazine.

Self published his first book ‘Colosso’ in November 2019.
